Recommended Application Procedure
Follow these manufacturer guidelines for optimal surface bonding and longevity.
Surface Preparation: Ensure substrate is sound, clean, and free from loose particles, grease, oil, and dust. Pre-dampen porous surfaces.
As a Bonding Slurry: Mix Aqua Bond with fresh Portland cement (approx. 1:1 to 1:1.5 by volume) to form a brushable slurry. Apply to substrate and place new screed/mortar while slurry is still tacky.
As an Admixture: Dilute Aqua Bond with gauging water according to mortar specification to improve workability, adhesion, and crack resistance.
Curing: Allow standard curing protection from direct rapid drying winds or intense heat.
